World's Edge — Dungeon Craft: Monster Manual

Monster Manual - A to Z

This tome contained the main creatures of the game, most of which hark from legends around the world and thus are familiar to normal persons - such as giants, unicorns, and vampires. Most memorable were, of course, the chromatic and metallic dragons of evil and good. As these creatures were created first, they are most commonly invoked by summoning spells and other magic. Some creatures' statistics (such as separate whale types) were actually not found in the Monster Manual but in Appendix E of the Dungeon Master's Guide.
